nom de plume

Five years ago, I penned a ten-page short story titled Ghost-Writer (alt: nom de plume) under the pseudonym Penny Peroxide. Here's the opening extract:

"As the early morning glaze gently penetrates the chenille curtains..." The Old Man merrily recites to himself as he saunters into his roomy penthouse study with a view.

His long-time valet and confidante, Mr. William Faust, is waiting on him by his huge oak table with a cup of freshly brewed coffee in his hand and a copy of the London Daily tucked under his arm...

Junsheng: I've been waiting for a moment like this for as long as I can remember. Now, it’s like a dream come true.
Jaime: You're not gonna get all mushy on me again, are you?
Junsheng: After all this time? I think I deserve to be a little.
Xiaohan: I hope you realize how fortunate it is to have someone care about you so much – to be receiving rather than giving.
Jiayan: I'm glad you pointed out the irony.
Xiaohan: What irony?
Jiayan: That you don't practice what you preach.
Maya: You should've told him yesterday.
Naya: I didn’t think it was right to surprise him like that on his birthday.
Maya: But you promised.
Naya: I promised I would try.

Um, a screen capture is the best I could do. So how? This poster5nice a not? *_^

Some more (disposable) information on my perpetual story project:

1. It's called 'The Circus Trilogy', in case anyone missed it the last 275 times.

2. The three parts are namely 'Autumn Rhapsody', 'Santa Fe' and 'Periwinkle'.

3. I'm penning Part II, the centerpiece, first.

4. I hope to wrap it up before I turn 40. LOL.

My Inspiration

In 2002, I penned a 66-page short script entitled BLUE DOLPHINS. That story was about four teenage girls (two sisters and two strangers) who spend 24 hours together in a series of misadventures and misdemeanors. The premise was inspired by the similarly themed 1997 Japanese movie BOUNCE KO GALS (see pic) and both celebrate friendship & female bonding.

'Santa Fe' Exposed

For the *first* time in three years, I'm revealing a lil' bit on my 'super-secret' story SANTA FE. This is how it begins...

"The annual Santa Fe circus carnival is back in town once again.

Junsheng and his girlfriend of two years, Jaime, are wandering through busy game stalls, getting lost in the crowd as well as the festive mood.

Junsheng (holding Jaime’s hand): Dear, do you remember how we met here two years ago?

Jaime smiles and nods her head."
