The Singapore Sling is "a cocktail that was developed sometime before 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boon, a bartender working at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel Singapore. The original recipe used gin, Cherry Heering, Bénédictine and fresh pineapple juice, primarily from Sarawak pineapples, which enhance the flavor and create a foamy top". Hmm...I wonder who wrote this? Could it be, as Eugene Tan puts it, a "Wiki-moron"?

Now that the WC is in full blast and soccermaniacs here are getting only three hours of sleep every day, Yomeishu from Japan may be a timely herbal tonic drink to keep the undesirable 'Mibyou' (e.g. physical fatigue and gastrointestinal troubles) at bay. Don't be duped by its 'beerish' packaging, for this bev is - in all actuality - a non-alcoholic apple soda imported from Lieshout, Holland. It says 'malt', but the barley is unfermented and, thence, sweet. Like to un-tab a can and try?

So what if the brand ambassador of this specific blend of coffee is InGen CEO John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) from JURASSIC PARK? As long as they didn't mess with nature or evolution in the process of roasting and brewing, we don't see a problem at all ;-)

Every drop of Evian natural mineral water, first tested in 1807 and "filtered through a vast aquifer" deep within the French Alps, typifies purity untouched by man. It's a shame salts and sulphur compounds don't sit well with me, which is why I much prefer my First Choice drinking water (obtainable for only 85 cents). Bah.
