Miss Zoned Out & Miss Tai Tai
In happier times: No one will miss Hui Sing (centre) more when she leaves than her BFF Lee Mei (right). Wish her all the best in health! (Seated left is Jiarong, just in case.)Labels: Work

SAP Art

A coupla art pieces gifted to our company as tokens of appreciation (I reckon). They're aligned along the short corridor outside our conference room and Shelia, for one, should be so acquainted with them :-)Labels: Work

Baby's Brolly
Ooi Lee Mei's (AKA 'Baby Mei') brand new Taiwan-purchased purple umbrella parked at Law Chin Nam's former workstation. According to the soon-to-be-Singapore PR (who was told by the seller), her brolly can withstand strong gusts of wind even in the opposite direction!Labels: Work

Our Pantry
Finally, after close to TEN years, my (new and current) workplace has a pantry! While it's no cafeteria, at least the 'bare essentials' are available: refrigerator, hot/cold/ lukewarm water dispenser, snacks...speaking of which, without those leftover pineapple tarts, I would've starved terribly yesterday morning :-SLabels: Work

Amos to the Rescue
If it wasn't for my colleague who alerted me, I'd still be thinking that our Chief Publisher had given each of us a tin of tea leaves for Christmas. After all, it did say "G. Woodrow Fine Tea Merchant". As it turned out, she got us Famous Amos cookies, which I snacked on following fireworks at Marina and feeling famished.Labels: Work

TQ, MEQ!
Finalmente, after close to a month of stuffiness, sweatiness and smelliness, my body's getting re-acclimatized back to the cool air conditioning that it was once so used to. Thank you, Management and workmen from Mitsubishi Electric!Labels: Work

Pallets
3These wooden pallets occupying part of the common corridor outside our office are awaiting the mindful attention of our warehouse coworkers and their manual stackers. I never could maneuver one of those machines.Labels: Work

Pending Work
Just a little belated update for the un(der-)informed: I'm now back in my 'old line' of educational book publishing. It sure's a complete turnabout/turnaround from my last job dealing with sales and marketing. Here, I don't talk on the phone or meet people much; it's mostly desk-bound with lots of reading and editing. Suits me fine - except I need to step up the game (look at my pending work). Ganbatte oh!Labels: Work
