Go Green

How can public transport compaines like SMRT and SBS Transit do their part for the environment? By employing more energy efficient operating systems and procedures (e.g. 'human powered vehicles')? By painting their locomotives in a shade of lime? Or simply by requesting for our remission on grounds that they are green (i.e. inexperienced)?
