Victor Wong (1927 – 2001)

Fans of the 3 NINJA franchise won't be unfamiliar with deceased American character actor Victor Wong, who plays Grandpa Mori Tanaka. Others may remember him as Chen Pao Shen in Bernardo Bertolucci's THE LAST EMPEROR. For me, the beloved stroke-stricken mien will always belong in such John Carpenter gems as PRINCE OF DARKNESS ("Say goodbye to classical reality, because our logic collapses on the subatomic level into ghosts and shadows") and BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA (Egg Shen!).
