20TH CENTURY BOYS

The premise (a modern-day prophecy of Armageddon) is intriguing. The source material (Naoki Urasawa's award winning manga) is pedigree. The filmization, per contra, is ho hum. Despite its folie de grandeur, Chapter 1 of the ¥6 billion trilogy is all but a disappointment.
