Easter Island

The Polynesian island of Rapa Nui is famous for its many monolithic statues known as moai. I've long wondered to myself if these enigmatic human figures, which face inland and are chiefly aringa ora of deified ancestors, were erected to bless the clan or curse the foe. Or both. Or neither. Hmm...
