One of the ways would be to challenge the limits of verticality by building the world's tallest freestanding man-made structure - in this case, the U.A.E.'s Burj Dubai, which, at a staggering height of 818 m (spire included), surpasses Taiwan's Taipei 101 by more than 300 m!
