Ostriches, ostensibly, aren't the only birds that're shy and hide their heads in the sand. Swans, it seems, are also equally coy when it comes to public attention. At least I got to be up so close with these graceful creatures, which were dipping their necks into the murky lake water and feeding on aquatic tubers.
