Are We in Vegas?

Say, doesn't this mass of brickwork along River Valley Road, Singapore, remind one of MGM Grand along the Las Vegas Strip, Nevada? (My juxtaposition, BTW, is far from impeccable, so please don't bother to Google-Image it!) In case anyone wonders, this is the Somerset Liang Court building, one of my childhood haunts.
