AIR FORCE ONE
5Striking distance: President James Marshall (Harrison Ford) gets ready to throw an executive punch to an approaching hijacker/terrorist (not Ray Liotta!).
Columbia Pictures' AIR FORCE ONE may be a forerunner in the 1997 summer box-office sweepstakes, which also boasted such chart-busting action titles as CON AIR, FACE/OFF and THE FIFTH ELEMENT, but one would reckon it's rigged with plot holes so huge you could fly the presidential aircraft through them and still have room for Gary Oldman's Kazakhstani retinue.
Withal, it's a piece of escapist entertainment that doesn't disappoint - and it's worth the full ticket price just to hear Indy spew the words "Get off my plane!" with surfeited menace.
