Overrated?
Much had been said about the ostensibly 'famous' chicken rice establishment Boon Tong Kee (River Valley branch), so this ignoramus recognized it was time to slosh his salive all over tender rooster meat. (Okay, that was admittedly gross - even in French.) And since these folks don't allow you to da bao anything under half a roasted chicken (WTF?!), I opted for the steamed one ($4.80). Overall, it was passable; the rice had a gingery taste to it, and I liked the pickles, but - in all honesty - I've had better. Next.
