Explosive Encounter (An Ode to DC)

It was reported in the news rather recently that some sorry (Samsung?) mobile phone user's 3charger went KABOOM (picture cartoonish FX) after plugging it into the socket - or sum' like that. Turned out the thingamabob was a knock-off. Ha! Lesson of the evening: Avoid another 'Hot Plate Disaster' to best of ability, if you know what I mean.
