/ I don't think there's a need for subtlety here, so I'll just go ahead and say it - Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert is THE prettiest young thing in Tinseltown right now.
It didn't occur to me at all that I had seen her work before - many times, in fact - when she was but a prepube hosting POPULAR MECHANICS FOR KIDS.
Now that this fresh-faced 24-year-old has ascertained herself on TV (playing Kiefer Sutherland's daughter in the hit drama series 24) and in cinema (playing second fiddle to Paris Hilton in the horror flick HOUSE OF WAX), she is ready to ascend the ranks and take on the big time.

And what better year it is to begin than 2007 - when Cuthbert will be appearing in two major motion pictures, namely CAPTIVITY and America's remake of South Korea's MY SASSY GIRL. /
