Ayumi Hamasaki
Born in 1978, 28-year-old Japanese pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki celebrates her 8th annum in show business (she's been active in the scene since 1998) by releasing her 8th studio album Secret (under record label Avex Trax).
Even though I prefer Namie Amuro (the name Utada Hikaru has never crossed my mind), I respect Ayu for being an abiding artist who truly deserves the divine appellation 'Empress of J-Pop'.

Ayumi is definitely good at what she does, but I don't really like her music. As for Namie, never heard of her and the only song I know of Utada is "Automatic" which I do like.
Namie is hot and a trendsetter. I believe Utada is revered for her talent in music composition.
