Beach Girl

Ryoko Hirosue. One of my first loves (after Noriko Sakai of the retro '80s) from the Land of the Rising Sun. As a pimply teenager...okay, maybe not that long ago, when J-dramas were the furore, I was particularly attracted to the short-haired tomboy Makoto (Hirosue) in the hugely popular Fuji TV series BEACH BOYS (remember its theme song?). Because of her, I started watching the show. Because of the show, I started liking (not admiring!) both the male leads Takashi Sorimachi and Yutaka Takenouchi. Because of them, I started watching other J-dramas (like LONG VACATION)...Lipton Tea. Good things grow. WTF?!?
