The Mothman

The Mothman may not be classified under my pet subject of cryptozoology, but I'm intrigued by it all the same. This strange (and scary) creature, which was sighted several times in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, between November 1966 and November 1967, is widely believed to be associated with paranormal - or even cataclysmic - occurences (ref: the collapse of Silver Bridge in '67, killing 46). In short, it's a premonition of disaster and tragedy. Spooky. But I like it.
