JBL

John Bradshaw Layfield, or JBL as he's more commonly referred to, prides himself as WWE's only true-blue American. The Wall Street wheeler-dealer not only has his own spot on MSNBC (as a freelance financial analyst) in addition to a nationally-syndicated talk radio show and a best-selling paperback (titled Have More Money Now), but is also the longest reigning WWE Champion in ten years. In my opinion, the self-proclaimed 'Wrestling God' is also, unequivocally, one of the best heels (i.e. 'baddies') in recent history. (Best Alliance: Orlando Jordan, Basham Brothers); Best Feuds: Late Eddie Guerrero, John Cena.)

Hi I found your blog through Thanh's blog and I also think JBL is one of the best heels of the modern era. There isn't a great deal to shout about in WWE right now but they should make more of Mr. Layfield. There is nothing like a Rulebreaker you love to hate!

Hi afrobev,

I absolutely agree with you. Too bad JBL has been relegated to a 'mid-card' wrestler as of late :-(
