Yan Kit Pool

Alright homies, it's time once again for Mr. Tan's impromptu historical tidbit. Heh heh. Ahem. The Yan Kit Swimming Complex was once the oldest in Singapore. Opened on 29 December 1952, when even my ma was only two years old, the landmark of Tanjong Pagar had seen her heyday. I recall, rather vividly, having my primary school swimming lessons conducted at the premises. Sadly, the facility has been closed indefinitely as of the year 2003 :-(
