Canadian Cryptid?

Dragged inland from Lake Ontario by a dog, this unnamed and unidentified critter has been (unofficially) 'classified' by Lon Strickler of Natural Plane as a mink, beaver, fisher, muskrat, pine marten or Northern river otter. What do you perceptive readers think?
