What was originally thought to be a no-show by U.S. President Barack Obama (center) at Singapore Evening turned out to be a surprise appearance by the well-liked Nobel laureate, who joined his APEC counterparts (from left: Japanese PM Yukio Hatoyama, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, PM Lee Hsien Loong and Chinese President Hu Jintao) in donning our Peranakan-inspired outfits and posing for photos.
