SOLITARY

Any reality TV show that sells itself as a 'social experiment', stimulating it may sound, can't be all that inspiriting (or inspirational, for that matter).
Having watched several installments of this pseudo human character and behavioral study (contestants are kept in solitary confinement while their physical and mental endurance are put to the test through a series of 'challenges'), I conclude that Val the artificial intelligence (and 'game master') is a sadist and the 'captives' are sad people who opted for the wrong channel to make a quick buck/name for themselves.
