Portrait of the Past

Victorian fashion's all about the corsets and the bodices, isn't it? (Jane Austen comes to mind.) These things are so bloody tight-fitting it's amazing the wearers could breathe at all - let alone heave their bosoms. But what to do? The price of aristocracy is a heavy one. Aren't we glad the days of pride and prejudice are over?
